Manifesto.

All is Design.

It is the sheets on our bed when we wake up in the morning. It is the streetlamps as we walk to the train. It is our morning cup of coffee, our office chair, the very clothes on our backs. It penetrates our lives and affects our collective mood more greatly than we can possibly imagine.

And that is why bad design is such a crime.

This blog is dedicated to exposing all of the terrible, unforgivable design that surrounds us. Industrial, graphic, landscape and architectural.

This crap is everywhere and I'm tired of seeing it. It's about time to start pointing some fingers.

  1. found instance of bad design in toronto. wine store (that was, unbeknownst to me, attached to large, upscale, shopping mall) with entrance from street but no exit to street. intstead i had to exit into basement of shopping mall, walk over to escalator, go up one flight, walk several hundred feet to staircase, and finally then and only then could i exit out onto the street. i would have taken a photo, but by then, i was nearly late for my panel. love you, love the blog.

  2. I'd have just barrelled back through the entrance. Stupid shopping malls...

The Atlantic Terminal Mall makes you pass through a maternity store in order to take the most convenient route to get to Target.

That place is too much of a mess for me to even scratch the surface.
